Job Description: Workday Functional Lead
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Workday Functional Lead to spearhead the implementation, configuration, and optimization of Workday modules within our organization. This role will serve as a critical bridge between technical teams, business stakeholders, and end-users, ensuring the Workday platform effectively supports our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end implementation and enhancement of Workday modules, such as HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Learning, and Time Tracking.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, translating them into scalable Workday solutions.
- Provide expert guidance on Workday capabilities, best practices, and functionality to optimize system performance and efficiency.
- Configure and maintain Workday modules, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and compliance with policies.
- Manage integrations between Workday and other enterprise systems, collaborating with technical teams as needed.
- Drive system testing, including creating test plans, conducting unit and end-to-end testing, and troubleshooting issues.
- Develop and deliver user training, ensuring end-users are proficient and confident in using the Workday platform.
- Stay updated on Workday updates and releases, evaluating their impact on the current system and recommending enhancements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Workday-related inquiries, troubleshooting, and support.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Workday Functional Lead or similar role, with expertise in at least two Workday modules.
- Strong understanding of Workday business processes, configuration, and reporting tools.
- Hands-on experience with Workday integrations and a solid grasp of integration tools such as EIB, Workday Studio, or Web Services.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of translating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Workday certifications in relevant modules are a plus.
